Into essence with B&W

Lately everything in my creative process focuses on movement. This morning, posting one of my black and whites on social media I felt moved and touched by their great simplicity. In addition to my colorful work which always gets more attention, I thought it was time to put them in the spotlight and tell you more about them.

My black and whites represent the blue print of almost all my colorful work. It's pure essence expression.
Some people practice yoga, others meditation and breathing exercise, I create these abstracts as a kind of meditation. They connect me with my essence and confirm my desire to live life from the inside out. Unconsciously they seem to be inspired by my passion for the ocean and the movement of water.

A few months ago I started offering them in my Etsy store. This is a platform where every creative can sell it's handmade products. I opened my Etsy store only to sell my black and white prints, available in A3 and A4 format. ( 11,7 x 16,5 inches and 8,3 x 11,7 inches)
Recently I have also placed them on my website with a link to my Etsy store and the possibility for locals, friends and relatives to purchase by studio appointment.

For now I am creating a few of these abstracts on different canvas sizes that will be available in a short while. The first one has recently been sold and given as a birthday present.

Have you ever considered giving an art present to someone? I believe art gifts are the best! If you have never done it before, I can highly recommend it.  Most people tend to choose such a gift like this deliberately, with attention and consciously. And that makes it all very exciting and a bit uncertain. Especially when you normally give the usual gifts!

The first reaction I always get from people when I suggest an art present: "Well, I am not quite sure if it's her style, maybe it doesn't fit in her living and she doesn't like it at all."
"What kind of interior she has: Classic, modern, rural?" Asking these questions reminds me of the benefit of my diploma interior stylist and colorist.
I am happy to help advise and choose whether an art piece fits the interior and also the person's characteristics and interests. It's all part of the deal!

I like to believe a painting doesn't only serve as decoration, although I have come to know many people who seem to experience it this way.
Personally I like to see art in my life as well on my wall, as an extension of my desires, or expressions that energize and encourages me at certain times. At least that's my intention when I paint my pieces: To create a visual story of color and movement from a deeper space of thoughts and feelings.

So everything in my creative life is in movement and it's a lovely place to be and whether it's colorful or just black and white, I will keep on moving!

Thanks for reading my blog, feel free commenting your experience what art on your wall means for you?
