I am Annemarie Marcinek, mixed media artist with a passion for color, shape and word.
I am also a Dr. Hauschka therapist/beautician, interior stylist and colorist, but most of all I am a person with a deep desire for a connection with myself and the Inspirer within me. My passions for color and shape have been decisive for painting. As an artist I am very aware of what colors and shapes communicate and what influence this has on people and their surroundings. Because I have a great desire to share my inspiration and impressions, I feel most at ease in this form of art. I find inspiration in and around me - nature, conversations, spirituality. Water inspiration is an often returning theme in my work. As a person I love to be in the vicinity of water, particularly the ocean. The depths of at I experience with my Creator. The relation between the physical and the spiritual is present. The same I can say for flowers. I have a great love for flowers; especially their colors have an enormous impact on my emotion, also the scent that is unique for each flower and their vulnerability which adds to their beauty. To actually use my inspiration and start to paint, I need a personal connection with it. It needs to touch my emotion and speak to me personally. Because my work is so closely connected with how I perceive, feel and experience things, most of my paintings intend to leave a symbolic message. The depths of my impressions often appear through a multitude of layers and colors. By the intentional use of colors and shapes, my desire is to create an imagery language which stays as close as possible to the received inspiration. This process is predominantly intuitive. I create my paintings mainly with acrylic paint on canvas, wooden panels and paper. |
